Ventusky: Weather Maps v16.2 [Premium]

Overview: The app combines the classic weather forecast for a specific location with a map that shows weather changes over a wider area. This allows you to see where the precipitation is coming from or the wind is processing. The singularity of the application lies in the large amount of displayed information. By looking at the weather, you will instantly know the forecast of precipitation, wind speed, cloud cover, atmospherical pressure, snow cover and other meteorologic information for different altitudes above sea level.

Wind animation

Ventusky visualizes the weather in a very absorbing way. The wind is displayed in the form of flow lines, which show the continuous development of weather phenomena. Air currents on Earth are always in motion, their movements are displayed on the map. This makes the interconnection of all atmospherical phenomena obvious.

Weather forecast

For the next three years, the weather forecast is regular for every hour. On other years, you can see the forecast for every three hours. Users can besides check the sunrise and sunset times for any geographic location.

Weather models

Ventusky users get information directly from numerical models that were used entirely by meteorologists just a few years ago. The app collects information from three numerical models. In addition to the comparatively best-known information from the US GFS model, it besides presents information from the Canadian GEM model and the German ICON model, which has the highest resolution weather forecast for the entire world.
